About rmbrME
rmbrME was founded by game industry expert and entrepreneur Gabe Zichermann and mobile tech guru Christopher Cunningham in 2007. Our services enable seamless and powerful lead management and contact exchange between mobile users on any device, network or OS without downloads, installs or subscriptions. Previously, Zichermann helped start Trymedia Systems (sold to MVSN in ’05) and Cunningham was a co-founder of TrekMail (sold to Visto in ’05). Seed-funded rmbrME is based in New York City, where the team loves the bustle and beauty of the urban jungle but misses great Mexican food. A lot.
Gabe Zichermann, CEO & Co-Founder
Gabe Zichermann developed the concept for rmbrME after realizing that tracking and connecting with new contacts had become unmanageable. Rather than starting a 12-step program for social hunters, Gabe helped develop rmbrME – the first mobile solution for exchanging social contact and lead information that works with any device. Gabe is a ten-year games industry veteran, having previously worked for CMP Media as the director of marketing for the Game Developers Conference, Gamasutra and Game Developer magazine, as well as helping to launch and guide Trymedia Systems from start to sale as the first successful online game DRM and distribution company. Additionally, Zichermann has held posts at Cisco Systems, Nortel and Checkpoint Software. Now residing in New York City, Gabe frequently muses about the opportunities to use game design in broader applications on his blog, www.funwareblog.com and is the co-author of the upcoming book, WebPlay (Manning, 2009).
Christopher Cunningham, CTO & Co-Founder
Christopher Cunningham is the CTO and Co-Founder of rmbrME. Christopher’s past experiences include helping found TrekMail, a breakthrough mobile email/text application that was sold to Visto in 2005, as well as deep expertise with agile development processes and distributed team management. Christopher is also an avid digital photographer and frequent writer/contributor to numerous publications and conferences. Cunningham is also the co-author of the upcoming book WebPlay (Manning, 2009).
